How Do I Terminate Or Pause Benefits When Employees Leave The Company?

When employees leave the company, it is necessary to stop their access and benefit distribution. This article explains how you can do this by changing the Employee Status to pause or terminate benefits.

To pause or completely terminate benefits for leaving employees and revoke all system access:

  1. Access User Administration: Navigate to the User Administration in the become.1 Dashboard.

  2. Change Status: Change the Employee Status of the respective employee there.

  • You have the option to pause benefits for a specific period or terminate them indefinitely (Status "Terminated"), thereby revoking all system access from the employee.

Tip: The specific instructions for changing the status can be found in the linked article.

Notes, Tips & Special Cases

Status "Terminated": Select the status "Terminated" to indefinitely stop benefits and completely revoke system access.

Status "Paused": Select the status "Paused" if the employee should not receive benefits only for a limited time (e.g., parental leave), but access needs to be restored later.
