How long does my IT lease run and what options do I have afterwards?

Every device has a fixed leasing duration. Here you will find everything you need to know about the contract term and what you can do with your dream device at the end of it.

Term and leasing duration
  • Fixed 24 months: The standard leasing period is 24 months. Extending or shortening the term is not possible, as the installments are calculated exactly for this timeframe.
  • Automatic processing: The lease installment is automatically offset monthly against your gross salary via salary sacrifice.
  • No subscription trap: There is no automatic renewal. After the 24 months are up, you decide for yourself how to proceed.
What happens after the term?

Once the 24 months are over, you have three options:

  1. Return the device: You simply send the device back to us.
  2. Buy the device: You can purchase the device privately at a low residual value.
  3. Lease a new device: You return the old device and choose a brand-new model in the shop.
Contract documents and digital consent

You do not need to sign a separate paper contract. The main leasing agreement runs directly between your employer and the leasing provider.

Before you complete your order, you will digitally agree to the following points on the platform:

Returns, exchanges, and cancellations
  • Binding order: As soon as you click the order button, the process is binding. Retroactive cancellation or a device exchange during the term is not possible (this also applies prior to delivery).
  • Delivery issues: If you were unable to accept the package and it was sent back, please contact the become.1 support team directly for an individual solution.
  • Premature termination: The lease ends regularly after 24 months, or prematurely if you leave the company.
  • Important for returns: Before you send a device back to us, it is mandatory that you reset it to factory settings to completely delete all of your personal data.
