How do I pause benefits for employees?
As an administrator, you have the option to pause or terminate benefits for individual employees or all staff members at any time. This is particularly useful when team members temporarily lose their entitlement to benefits due to parental leave or long-term illness, or when they leave the company.
There are two different ways to do this on the platform:
Option 1: Automatic pausing via "Employee Status" (Recommended) The easiest way is to adjust the employee's status centrally. If you set a pause or a termination date here, the system will automatically stop or end all linked benefit modules for the requested period.
- Go to Employee Management in the admin view and select the relevant profile.
- Navigate to the Employee Status (or Employment Relationship) section.
- Change the status to "Paused" (e.g., for parental leave) or enter a fixed end date. Note: If the return date is still unclear, you can also set the pause to indefinite.

Option 2: Manual adjustment of individual benefit modules If an employee is still active in the company but loses their entitlement to a specific benefit module, you can also remove it manually:
- Open the profile of the respective employee.
- Navigate to their Assigned Benefits.
- Click Edit on the affected module and enter an end date. As soon as this date is saved in the system, the platform will block any future rollouts.
⚠️ Important note on mid-month terminations Please keep our platform's billing cycle in mind when pausing or terminating benefits mid-month (during the current month):
- Non-cash benefits (e.g., vouchers) are usually triggered automatically in the system on the 1st of each month.
- If you enter a pause or termination mid-month, the budget for that month has usually already been distributed and is available to the employee. In this case, the pause will effectively take effect on the 1st of the following month.
