How can I block my physical card?
Have you lost your physical become.1 Card, has it been stolen, or do you want to block it for another reason? Here you will find out how to react quickly and correctly to protect your balance.
Important note in advance: A classic, temporary "blocking" (as known from standard bank cards) is not possible. To prevent misuse, the card must be permanently deactivated.
Step 1: Permanently deactivate the card (Cancel)
If your card is lost, you should not waste any time. Since there is no classic blocking function, you must cancel the card via your profile. This will immediately and irrevocably deactivate it so that no one can make payments with it anymore.
How to deactivate your card:

Log in to the become.1 app or the browser portal.

Navigate to the Balance / become.1 Card section.

Click on the Cancel card option and confirm the process.
Note: Your already loaded remaining balance will, of course, not be lost! It remains safely stored in your virtual become.1 account.
Step 2: Order a new card
Once the old card has been successfully canceled and thereby securely deactivated, you can request a new card right away.

Digital card (Wallet): Can usually be reactivated directly in the app and linked to Apple Pay or Google Pay.

Physical card: You can order a new physical card directly via the platform.
(Please note: Depending on the agreement with your employer, fees may apply for printing and shipping a physical replacement card).
